Beautiful views and delicious food were the best aspects of this traditional Japanese inn. the room boasted a stunning view of the garden and river, and the food served was an authentic Japanese feast. the location was also great as it was within walking distance to shops and restaurants.
The facilities were outdated and service was mediocre. the onsen was cramped and inconveniently open only at specific hours.

Our stay at Arai Ryokan was truly enchanting. The serene location away from the city allowed for complete relaxation amidst the soothing sounds of the nearby river. The traditional elements in our room, such as tatami mats and futon, added to the authentic experience. The meals served were a delightful journey for the taste buds, beautifully presented on slate plates. The preserved bathhouses, designed by renowned artists, were a unique feature. The quick response from the staff when a cockroach appeared in the bathroom was impressive. we enjoyed the classic Japanese elegance, excellent service, and tranquility of Arai Ryokan.

I had an amazing experience at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The location is perfect, situated right in the center of the most beautiful part of Shuzenji. The hotel is surrounded by a stunning Japanese garden with a river, pond, and maple trees. From my room, I had the most breathtaking views of this picturesque scenery. The staff here were extremely friendly and helpful, providing excellent service throughout my stay. The traditional onsen and bath facilities were top-notch, offering a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The Kaiseki dinner and breakfast served in the room were beautifully presented and delicious.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a luxurious and comfortable stay.

The traditional Japanese style of the hotel was charming and beautiful. The hot springs were a great relaxing experience and the onsen building was well decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
One of the hot springs did not have adequate shower facilities, making it a bit difficult to fully clean oneself after using the onsen. , the location was quite remote and required a car or taxi to get there.

We had an amazing stay in this hotel. The location is perfect, right in the center of the onsen area and close to the main attractions in the city. Our room had a beautiful view of the river and the bamboo path, and it was very clean and well-equipped with all the necessary facilities. The staff was extremely friendly and provided excellent service. On top of that, the breakfast served in this hotel was very delicious, with fresh ingredients from the local area.
All was good.
